Tammy announces studio sale at her Northfield studio—clearance work $5 & up, 20% off new work
Getting the word out—both to artists and audience
Next show?
• With greater organization and delegation of responsibility, putting on a show could be much easier
• **Possible Hi-Lo exhibit at WRCC, dates TBA, class/workshop in conjunction
Artists’ Market—unified label; expand to Kimball Gallery?
• Send personal invitations via snail mail to participate in holiday market (“the Gift of Art”)
• Possible discount table, $5-$15 items (with honor system lock box?)
• “Gimmick” to attract attention throughout town, i.e. public art project?
• Information about Collective posted
$234.94 in Collective coffers
Needs assessment: how is the Collective working for us?
• Shift focus back to sharing work and inspiration—presentation, demonstration, etc.
• Put energy into on-going Artists’ Market, not short-term shows for a while
• Keep meetings on third Sunday
Tasks & questions:
• Invitation to Holiday Artists’ Market— print on WRCC cards; Malia will e-mail text (composed in meeting) to Kevin
• Flier—distribute better, mail ahead with invitation & application; Sandy and Malia will each print 50
• Look up addresses—Ken will look up & cross-check with Kevin, needed by end of October
• *Publicity—Alexis will put up fliers, stuff envelopes; MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
• Poster—Sandy has seasonal art to use; Malia will create after drop-off dates
• *Who will staff drop-off dates? Fridays, November 11 & 18 and Saturdays, November 12 & 19 (or by appointment)—what times??
• *Purchasing of art—who/how?
• *Labels—Kevin will talk to Susan Rockwell
• *“Presentation ready”—do we agree about what this means?
**LATE-BREAKING NEWS: Hi-Lo show will be on display in the Kimball Gallery and café spaces during the weeks of 12/5 and 12/12. Artists’ Market will need to be moved to the north hallway
